Myrt's Family Restaurant

My in laws were visiting from morocco we were on a road trip and stopped in on a Friday everyone ordered the fish and chips they absolutely loved it. Thank you will definitely stop again next time we are passing through

I visited Mattawa, ON last week and had a delicious lunch at a reasonable price. Everything we ordered was freshly made and tasted amazing. The wait times vary but it’s well worth it!

The Fish and Chips was a real success with the family! We each ordered one for lunch and were all very pleased!Great lunch special prices, generous portions, fast and friendly service.I couldn't ask for more!

A clean place, but under staffed, so tables took a bit longer to be bussed than normal. We had usual breakfast fare, eggs, bacon, hash browns. Hash browns were a 6/5, being the best I've ever had, crispy outside, tender and cooked inside.

For a family restaurant in a small town, this place was just great. Super friendly staff, extremely reasonable prices, and the homemade pizza was excellent. The large serving of fries was hand cut and fresh and massive. If I'm ever back in Mattawa I will definitely be eating at Myrt's.In terms of atmosphere, it was welcoming and the perfect place after being in the woods for a week camping.

We were on a road trip and I was sick of fast food. We stopped in here instead. The building itself is a bit run down, and the bathroom is a little rough, but don't let any of that fool you: this is a proper restaurant where they still know how to use real food to make you an actual meal.I had a cheeseburger, and the patti was homemade from scratch that very day - and you could tell. It was easily twice as good as a burger i paid twice as much for down in the city last week. My partner had the pizza, and that too left nothing to complain about. The dough was just right, the toppings were fresh, the sauce was tasty, and it was cooked the perfect amount - not too much, not too little.I can't remember the last time i had to drive through Mattawa, and i don't know when i'll do it again, but when i do i will be sure to stop back here. As the bumper sticker says, fastfood might be easier, but why not have a real meal instead?

This is the second time we stopped in at this lovely little place. We love It's classic small town family atmosphere. My son and I had the chicken Greek salad and were surprised at not only the size, but the fact that they use a healthy portion of roasted chicken breast, not the usual chicken fingers you get everywhere else. It was delicious and filling, and the best part for me is the dressing is served on the side!Hubby had the special, battered haddock with the mash potatoes and gravy, and thoroughly enjoyed it. He was a chef for many years and appreciated the homemade, not from a box, gravy.Service was quick and friendly.

Very tasty food..good coffee and great staff..we definitely recommend it and the portions are quite big..very affordable prices as well..nice family restaurant..keep up the good work!
